Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service-  Eligibility:
Students interested in applying for the SFS must meet all of the following requirements:

  • be a U.S. citizen
  • be in the final two years of pursuing a bachelor's degree as of the start of the award (majoring in Information Assurance, Computer Science, or Management Information (CS and MIS majors must also have a concentration in Information Assurance)
  • be attending school full-time throughout the entire length of the scholarship
  • meet criteria for Federal employment
  • be eligible for a security clearance


Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service-  Benefits**:

  • annual academic stipend ($8,000 undergrad, $12,000 graduate)
  • full tuition scholarship
  • one year of employment with the federal government for every year of scholarship (student is responsible for applying for and obtaining a position to fulfill this service obligation)
  • some travel accommodations for Information Assurance related conferences/events
  • Room & Board in on-campus facility, or housing stipend
  • a new computer is provided
  • up to $3,880 per year for books and course/research related supplies

** Please note that 2nd year of scholarship award is pending availability of federal funding

 Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service- Obligations to the Federal Government:

  • complete the degree program successfully
  • complete summer internship(s) with a participating federal agency
  • complete one year of work at a participating agency for every year of scholarship
