Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service- Eligibility:
Students interested in applying for the SFS must meet all of the following requirements:
- be a U.S. citizen
- be in the final two years of pursuing a bachelor's degree as of the start of the award (majoring in Information Assurance, Computer Science, or Management Information (CS and MIS majors must also have a concentration in Information Assurance)
- be attending school full-time throughout the entire length of the scholarship
- meet criteria for Federal employment
- be eligible for a security clearance
Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service- Benefits**:
- annual academic stipend ($8,000 undergrad, $12,000 graduate)
- full tuition scholarship
- one year of employment with the federal government for every year of scholarship (student is responsible for applying for and obtaining a position to fulfill this service obligation)
- some travel accommodations for Information Assurance related conferences/events
- Room & Board in on-campus facility, or housing stipend
- a new computer is provided
- up to $3,880 per year for books and course/research related supplies
** Please note that 2nd year of scholarship award is pending availability of federal funding
Federal Cyber Service: Scholarship for Service- Obligations to the Federal Government:
- complete the degree program successfully
- complete summer internship(s) with a participating federal agency
- complete one year of work at a participating agency for every year of scholarship
